Message from Provost
Welcome to LSC, at the heart of London, which is not only a city steeped in history and surrounded by
cultural heritage, but also a city of prosperity, economic power and global enterprise.
It is a
great honour to be the London School of Commerce Group’s Provost and Global Academic Director, working
with the LSC academic community which is driven by its mission to widen access and provide
cost-effective education to develop entrepreneurially-minded students and future global leaders. LSC
works on behalf of British Universities but also in partnership with Awarding Bodies to provide its own
business education programmes.
Our teaching and learning is driven by our commitment for high
quality, innovation, community engagement and students employability.

Teaching and Learning Philosophies
Our teaching philosophy and pedagogic vision seeks to combine theories with real world practice and to
develop learning through active research. The themes of ‘East meeting West’ and culture immersion are
core features of the teaching and learning at LSC. This is realised in different ways, including the use
of flying faculty from different academic, industrial and cultural backgrounds engaging with students
across the LSC global campuses as part of the Executive MBA.
At LSC, we aim to provide students
with academic experiences that emphasise the development of applied knowledge, skills and capabilities
appropriate to rapidly changing global, cultural, human, technological and organisational environments.
